"Why Become An Affiliate"

An affiliate of the Mississippi Housing Initiative (MHI) is a non-profit or for-profit agency that provides pre-purchase homebuyer education workshops to first-time homebuyers using the curriculum required under the Homebuyer Education program. MHI is committed to offering the following services to affiliated agencies:

• Training and certifying homebuyer education providers in homeownership, money management and wealth building.
  
• Building relationships between counseling providers, financial, real estate agents and other housing entities.
  
• Supplying counselors with curriculum and marketing material.
  
• Providing feedback on counseling activities.
  
• Organizing workshops and conferences to help homebuyer education providers share ideas, and obtain the knowledge to deliver effective counseling services.
  
• Assisting Affiliate with program implementation and workshops
